FEBRUARY 18 - 22, 2019

 

MON.     PRESIDENTS’ DAY – NO SCHOOL

TUES.    Corn dog, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, dessert, milk.

WED.     Steak nuggets, rice, spinach, roll, dessert, milk.  SALAD BAR

THUR.    Hamburger on bun, lettuce & cheese, baked beans, potatoes, dessert, milk.  

FRI.       Tacos, lettuce & cheese, beans, fruit, milk.  SALAD BAR

 

NO SCHOOL/NO CHILDCARE  There is no school Monday for Presidents’ Day. There will be no childcare provided on that day.

HASA ALL-PARENT MEETING   Please join us on Tues., Feb. 19, for an all-parent meeting. Our Knights of Columbus and CCW are hosting a spaghetti dinner for our families. This will be followed by a HASA meeting and presentation by George Valadie, President, Notre Dame High School, "Parenting: It's Harder than It Used To Be." Watch for flyers to come home!

TALENT SHOW – GRADES 4-8  The Talent Show for grades 4-8 will be Thurs., Feb. 21, at 2 pm in the gym.  Only participants are allowed out-of-uniform.  Everyone is invited!

REENROLLMENT  If you have not yet completed your child’s reenrollment online, please do so now.  You will go to ParentWeb, “Family”, and then “Enrollment/Reenrollment”.  Student Fees will remain at $600 per student and are due April 1.  The Student Fee is nonrefundable unless your family is moving away (out of Hamilton County).  If your child is NOT returning to St. Jude next year, please make sure to let us know so that we can remove the Student Fee charge from your FACTS account.

SPRING BOX TOPS CONTEST  Don't forget to send those Box Tops in to your homeroom teachers! Be sure to mark girl or boy - DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 25. Who will win the special out of uniform?!

SIX FLAGS READ TO SUCCEED  Students in grades K-6 who are participating in the Six Flags:  Read to Succeed program must return their completed forms to Mrs. Newton by Fri., Feb. 22. Parents must initial the bottom of the form and each line after the amount of time your child spent reading. The total time spent reading must be 360 minutes or more.  Late forms will not be accepted.  

ACCELERATED READER  Thursday, Mar. 7, is the last day for students to take AR tests for the 3rd quarter.  Any AR tests taken on Fri., Mar. 8 will count toward the 4th quarter.  Students who achieved their AR reading goals for the 3rd quarter may come to school out-of-uniform Wed., Mar. 13.  

"SWEETHEART DANCE"  Saturday, Mar. 2, 7 - 9 pm here in Siener Hall. The cost is $30/Couple and $5/additional guest. The cost goes up $5 at the door. Watch for flyers! 

"GAMES WITH MY GUY"  Sunday, Mar. 3, 2 - 4 pm. The cost is $20/Couple and $5/additional guest. The cost goes up $5 at the door. Watch for flyers!

MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE DIOCESE

Sat., Mar. 9 - God’s Plan for You and Your Marriage

A Morning of Reflection for couples struggling with infertility will be offered to support couples with prayer and resources. The Diocesan Office of Marriage Preparation and the St. John Neumann Parish Family Life Office invite those bearing the cross of infertility to join us for Mass, brunch, presentations, marriage enrichment and panel discussion. The Office of Marriage Preparation and Enrichment invites all married, engaged and dating couples to a marriage conference where we will explore the dignity, beauty and power of marriage and family life in the mission of the Church. Sat. and Sun., Mar. 30/31 - Created for Connection 2-day workshop for Christian Couples

This 2-day workshop is a positive, research-based program for all married couples that want to strengthen and deepen their relationship to make marriage last a lifetime. SCRIP NEWS  We are 33% of the way towards meeting our goal of $4000 in rebates by the end of this Scrip year, which is Monday, March 4th.  Please help us reach this goal so all kids can enjoy a water misting tent, temporary tattoos, and ice pops on field day!!! Those who have not met their $140 contribution either by earning Scrip rebates or participating in the buy-in will receive a letter shortly after the Scrip year ends letting you know your balance.
