Good morning, St. Jude. I’m  Hannah, and today is one of our favorite days of the week:  FRIDAY! 2019 has been with us for twenty days now. Hope it’s been a great year so far.

Today, we take a moment to think about what it means to be faithful. Do we always follow God’s law of love and take time in our lives to have a relationship with him?  Are we always full-out kind? We got this, St. Jude. Today, let’s try hard to be faithful to God.

Oh, my goodness.  Yesterday, we forgot to wish a happy birthday to one of our awesome teachers, Mr.  Barnett. Hope you had an amazing day! Thank you for sharing your guitar music with us at Church.   Tomorrow, Miranda Wilkinson, the world’s most talented artist, has a birthday, and so does Allen Finnian, an extraordinary first grader.  Happy early birthday, you two!

Congratulations to all of our basketball teams who won against TCPS yesterday afternoon.

The sixth and seventh grade wants to give a special shout-out to Deacon Brian today.  Deacon Brian is the guest teacher in Mrs. Smith’s class. We’re so glad to have him with us!

What’s being served up in the cafe today?  How does barbecue sound? That’s being offered  with corn on the cob and baked beans. Salad bar is also an option.

Students, PLEASE remember to recycle your water bottles and plastic ware at lunch.  We care about our planet here at St. Jude.

So, it looks like the sun may have disappeared forever.   Today we’ll see more rain, and the high will be in the mid-fifties.

Today’s quote is by Martin Luther King, Jr  :  “If you can’t fly, then run.  If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl, but by all means, keep moving. ”

And now….. St.  Jude…...Are you ready to trivia?  First, let’s check the answer to yesterday’s question:  In 1983, which president signed a bill, making MLK Day a federal holiday? The answer was Ronald Reagan,  correctly turned in by Jackson Smith in 5th grade.

Ready for today’s question?  What was King’s father’s profession?  Was it a) a doctor? b) a fireman c)  a pastor? or d) professor?

Brandon in Mrs. Pilkington's 5th Grade  Class is our leader for today's pledge - I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for Which it Stands, One Nation Under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice For All.

And Together We Pray, "Holy Spirit, Help Me Today In Everything I Think And Do And Say. St. Jude Pray For Us."
