We Began Above a Drug Store

St. Jude School will celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2020.  From humble beginnings above a drug store in Red Bank and with the sacrifice and determination of young families came the founding of St. Jude School in 1960. The school’s cafeteria served as the parish church until the construction of the present church building was completed.

Initial enrollment was 179 students. Today, enrollment in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth grade is 321 students.  The majority of St. Jude students live in the Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Signal Mountain, Highway 58/Harrison and North Chattanooga communities, though we have had students from Cleveland, Rhea County, Dunlap and Jasper.
